Rodolfo P. Ruiz is a Holistic Engineer with over 26 years of relevant experience in the field. He is passionate about learning and solving problems using the right mix of technology and people. Rodolfo is an entrepreneur at heart and has co-founded two startups, with one exit. Currently, Rodolfo is a Consultant at soho, where he is responsible for smart contract development for Polkadot, a WebRTC-based trivia show mobile application, a voice application for restaurant ordering on smart speakers, a data-driven coaching app for endurance athletes, and a lending application using crypto as collateral. His technical expertise includes Python, React Native, Ruby on Rails, Rust, Solidity, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Clickhouse, and AWS. In the past, Rodolfo was the President & CEO of Driblet Labs, Inc., his second startup that he co-founded after winning Angelhack in 2013. He participated in Techcrunch's Disrupt SF 2013 and Battlefield of Startups at CES 2014. The "Driblet" was used to monitor, manage and optimize water usage in commercial and industrial locations. Rodolfo was granted a patent for a harvest energy device, which was used to generate electricity to power measurement of speed, flow, and temperature. He exited the company through an acquisition. Before that, Rodolfo worked at Iron Mountain as the Gerente Corporativo de TI México, where he was responsible for 3 TI senior engineers, 5 senior software engineers, and 12 field technical support specialists. He helped Iron Mountain Mexico to move from a local intranet architecture to an automated, cloud-based, web operation. Web-based applications were developed both for company and customer use, and ITIL implementation was done to improve response times and customer support. Rodolfo holds a MicroMasters degree in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which he is expected to complete in 2022. He also has a degree in Ingenieria in Electronics and Communications from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Rodolfo's technical skills include Ruby, AWS, Mobile, Solidity, Smart Contract, Web, Python, Docker, MongoDB, Backend, and React Native.
